Getting Started with BI Reporting
Who is this article for?Users who are going to use the module day-to-day.
BI Reportingaccess is required.
EQMS BI Reporting provides data analysis and visualisation tools that will allow you to track performance trends across the system. It gives you access to dashboards, reports, and graphical displays to identify insights and make data-driven management decisions.
This article gives you an overview of each area of the module and provides links to related guides.
1. Home
Home is a designated area to view all draft and saved panels, and reports. It contains anything that a user has created and saved within the tool, allowing outputs to be found easily. This can be ordered alphabetically or by date.
2. Analysis
An area of the tool where raw data captured by EQMS is organised by datasets and formulas which are then collated into panels to be used on the dashboard or within reports. Analysis is particularly useful for analysing trends through time and producing data tables.
3. Visual Analysis
An area of the tool where raw data captured by EQMS is organised by datasets and formulas which are then collated into panels to be used on the dashboard or within reports. Visual analysis is useful where more complex calculations are required to reach the output.
4. Dashboard
This is where panels created within the tool from ‘Analysis’ or ‘Visual Analysis’ are displayed. End users can access and view visualisations here dependent on permissions. Every user has access to a dashboard within BI.
5. Author Report
This is where you can design and format reports using the visualisations created in ‘Analysis’ and ‘Visual Analysis’. Additional information can be added including external images, written information, and links.
6. Schedule Manager
This is where you can view all reports scheduled to be distributed from the system. The schedule of all reports can be monitored and adjusted from here.
