EQMS Outlook Regions
Installing Outlook Regions
Outlook Regions is an additional panel in MS Outlook which links EQMS to Outlook. Currently it is only valid for Navigator and Document Manager.
Copy them to your local machine, and right click the .exe file and Run as Administrator. The admi must be the user who will be utilising the application.
Follow the steps on the installation wizard. And install the application for use by ‘Just me’. When completed, you should see EQMS Outlook Region on the Add-ins page on Outlook, located at File | Options | Add-ins.
When you first open MS Outlook the add-ins setup wizard will launch:
Provide either your Live or UAT site URL and select next:
Then provide your Username and Password. Tick the checkbox Remember Username and Password to remain signed in to EQMS in future sessions. Leave un-ticked and a Username and Password will be demanded each time.
Accessing Outlook Regions
By default Outlook Regions will be presented to the right of your email viewing pane focused on Navigator:
You can expand the Navigation Tree and view documents just as you would in EQMS. Double click the Document title to view:
You can also email; mutiple documents by ticking the selection box to the left of the document title and then selecting the Email Checked button:
This automatically opens a new email message with the selected documents attached. Select the Uncheck All button to remove the selected documents
Document Search
To search the EQMS database select the Document Search tab:
You can search for Documents by ID, Title, and by content string. There is also an advanced search feature as there is in the main EQMS system.
To Do list
You can complete To Do list items by selecting the To Do List tab:
Double click on the item you wish to work on:
Complete the required fields and select the Complete button. Respond to the popup screens accordingly and the item will be removed from your To Do list.
EQMS Outlook Regions Settings
It is possible to configure EQMS Outlook Regions to your tastes by selecting the Settings tab:
From here you can you can alter the user and the system you're accessing by selecting the Change User or Change URL buttons.
You can also alter where EQMS outlook Regions is displayed in your email screen.
Uploading Email or Email attachments to EQMS
You can upload an Email or Email attachments into EQMS using EQMS Outlook Regions by dragging and dropping your selection into a specific EQMS folder:
You can either use the Email subject as the Document Title:
Or you can supply your own Document Title.
Choose the required Document Control Type from the dropdown menu, provide a version number and select the Upload button:
The following popup screen will be presented when the file has been successfully uploded:
