Configuring Companies and Contacts
Who is this article for?Users responsible for managing Company and Contact records.
Issue Manager (ISSMGR) or higher permissions are required.
Issues within Issue Manager are associated with specific Companies and Customer Contacts. This allows you to easily locate contact information should it be required while handling an Issue. You can also use it to help filter your Issues List to only include issues that relate to a specific Customer, Contact, or both.

1. Accessing Contacts/Companies
To access the list:
- Navigate to Issue Manager.
- Select Contacts/Companies.
Company records must be created before entering specific Contacts within.
2. Creating Companies
To create a Company record:
- Switch to the "Companies" tab above the working area.
- Click the New Company icon.
This will show a blank Companies screen.
- Enter a Company Name.
- Add an Address and Postcode.
- Select the Country.
- Provide an optional Telephone number and Email.
- Tick Active to make the record available in other areas of the module.
- Click Save.
3. Amending Companies
To edit a Company record:
- Select anywhere in the Company record row.
- Apply your changes.
- Click Save to the right of the header bar.
4. Creating Contacts
To create a Contact entry:
- Switch to the "Contacts" tab above the working area.
- Click the New Contact icon.
- Enter the Forename and Surname.
- Add a Company association (if relevant).
- Provide an optional Telephone/Mobile number and Email.
- Tick Active to make the record available in other areas of the module.

Select whether the Contact is a:

Client Contact - Can be listed as the Client Contact.

Requestor - Can be listed as an Issue Requestor.

Click Save.
When raising a new Issue, Companies and Contacts can be created via the icon to the right of the data field.
However, this functionality is not available with the Client Contact and Requestor fields if enabled on the Issue Type.
5. Amending Contacts
To edit a Contact entry:
- Select anywhere in the Contact record row.
This can be aided by filtering to reduce the list length.
- Apply your changes.
- Click the Save icon to the right of the header bar.
