Creating and Managing Organisational Areas
Who is this article for?Users who are responsible for managing organisational areas.
Audit Administrator (AUDADM) permissions are required.
Organisational Areas are identified within the system for association with Audit Types, Audits, Checklists and Findings. The association of one or more Organisational Areas enables Audit data to be analysed by Organisational Areas.
Organisational Area records can be related to each other in a hierarchy reflecting the structure of the Organisation and its component parts.
1. Accessing Organisational Areas
To access Organisational Areas:
- Navigate to Audit Manager.
- Select Audits.
- Choose Organisational Areas.
To expand/collapse any lower level components of a structure, click the Reveal/Hide icon next to the Area names.
To highlight records on the left that comply, enter a string of characters to be searched for amongst Titles and click Find/Search.
2. Creating Organisational Areas
To create an Organisational Area record:
- Click the Add New Record icon located above the Title column heading.
The Organisational Area Details screen will be cleared.
- Enter a reference Code for the Area.
- Give it a Title.
- Provide an optional Description.
- Select the appropriate area from the Parent Org dropdown if the Area you're creating is a Child Area.
- Amend the Owned By selection as necessary.
- Tick Active to make the Area selectable in other areas of the module.
- Date Modified is automatically set by the system and is read-only.
3. Amending Organisational Areas
To edit an Organisational Area record:
- Select the record row of the relevant Area in the left hand list.
The Organisation Area Details screen will be displayed.
- Amend the details as required.
- Click the Save icon to the right in the header bar.
