Configuring Escalation Paths
Who is this article for?Users who are responsible for determining a notification paths for actions.
Audit Administrator (AUDADM)permissions are required.
An Escalation Path specifies a series of emails that are sent automatically to specified system users when Actions have not been completed, at specified intervals starting on a specified date.
1. Accessing Escalation Paths
To access Escalation Paths:
- Navigate to Audit Manager.
- Select Housekeeping.
- Choose Escalation Paths.
2. Creating Escalation Paths
To create an Escalation Path:
- Click the Add New Record icon located above the list of existing Escalation Path records.
The Escalation Path Details screen will be cleared. - Give your Path a Code and Title.
- Select the Scope for the Path from the dropdown.
- Add an optional Description.
- Change the Owner if required.
- Date Modified is populated automatically and is read-only.
- Add an Escalation Step by clicking the Add New Step icon.
- Give your Step a Title.
- Determine who to Escalate to at this step.
- Set Days +/- to the number of days before(-) or after(+) the Target Date of any associated Action, Approval Path, or Change Path that the Escalation Step will be released to the User selected in the Escalate to field.
- Tick Step locked to prevent the Escalation Path Action’s Metadata from being altered by the Actionee.
- Set No of reminders to a value that dictates how many reminders will be sent to the Actionee's To Do List.
- Determine the Days between reminders are sent to the Actionee's To Do List.
- Click Save.
Repeat the above instructions for each Step required for the Path.
3. Amending Escalation Paths
To edit an Escalation Path:
- Select the row of the relevant record in the left hand list.
The Escalation Path Details screen will be populated. - Amend the details as required for the Path.
- Amend the details as required for the Step(s).
- Click Save.
