Creating and Managing Calibration Types
Who is this article for?Users who are responsible for Calibration Type management.
Equipment Administrator(EQADM) permissions are required.
Equipment Manager can be used to schedule and control any type of Calibration checks that may be required for any given asset. From measuring equipment to industrial tools, the varying Calibration Types can be created and associated with the relevant assets. This article will show you how to add and administer them.
1. Accessing Calibration Types
To access Calibration Types:
- Navigate to Equipment Manager.
- Select Administration.
- Switch to the "Calibration Checks" tab.
This will reveal a Calibration Types list.
If the search fields are not displayed, select the expand icon below the header bar to expand the filters.
2. Creating Calibration Types
To create a new Calibration Type:
- Click the Add New icon in the top right of the header bar.
This will reveal a blank Calibration Type details screen.
- Fill in the mandatory details:
- Title – Name for the Calibration Type.
- Code – Reference code for the Calibration Type
- Provide an optional Description.
- Tick the Active checkbox.
This decides whether the Calibration Type will be available for selection in the rest of the module. - Select the Owner or Owner Group (if different from yourself).
- Click Save to confirm.
You can return to the Calibration Types list by clicking the Return icon. You will lose any unsaved actions.
3. Amending Calibration Types
To amend an existing Calibration Type:
- Select the Calibration Type from the list.
This will reveal the Calibration Type details screen.
- Amend details as required.
- Click Save to confirm your changes.
