Accessing the System for the First Time

User access is required.
If you are accessing the system for the first time, you may be asked to configure basic security and display settings. This guide will walk you through the login process and the settings you will be asked to change.
1. Logging In
When you access EQMS via the link supplied by your administrator (e.g. mysite.myeqms.com), you will be greeted with a log in screen.
From here, enter your supplied EQMS username and password and click Log in.
2. Changing Password
You may be asked to change your password to something more private if the password you used to log in was provided by an administrator.
If this is the case, you will see the following screen.
To change your password:
- Enter your current password (the one you used to log in).
- Provide a New Password.
The password must be 6-12 characters in length to be accepted by the system - Confirm your New Password.
- Select Save to confirm.
Your password will be changed, and you will enter the system.
3. Setting Security Questions
You may also be asked to provide answers to a selection of security questions.
To set your security questions:
- Select your Questions from the dropdown lists.
- Provide your answers in the relevant fields.
Answers must be 4-50 characters in length to be accepted by the system. - Click Save Answers to confirm.
4. Changing System Language
When you first access a multi-language EQMS system, you should be asked to select a language:
Simply select a language from the dropdown box and click Select to confirm.
If you need to change your system language at any other time, you can do so via the My User Details screen. From EQMS Navigator, select "Staff Details" from the Tools menu as shown below.
You should be presented with the "My User Details" screen.
Select your desired language from the Preferred Language dropdown field and click Save.
If the system language does not change once saved, you may need to relog or clear your browser cache.
