Finding Types can be created to categorise the findings raised on an audit. This article will walk you through how to set them up.
1. Creating Finding Types
To create a finding type:
- Expand Audits.
- Select Finding types.
- Click Create.
- Enter the required information:
-
- Title - Name of your audit type.
- Description - Clear and concise description of the type.
- Click Save.
Need more time to configure your finding type?
Consider leaving the 'Active' checkbox unticked. This will allow you to continue working on configuring the audit type without the risk that an auditor will use it to raise findings before you are ready for them to do so. You can return to this area later and activate the type when you are ready to go live.
2. Editing Finding Types
To edit a finding type:
- Expand Audits.
- Select Finding types.
- Open your finding type.
- Apply any changes.
- Click Save.

Inactive finding types will be hidden from the list. Click the 'Show inactive' box to see types that have not been activated.
3. Deactivating Finding Types
To deactivate a finding type:
- Expand Audits.
- Select Finding types.
- Open your finding type.
- Uncheck the Active box.
