Creating and Managing Training Categories
Who is this article for?
Users responsible for Training records.
Training Administrator (TRGADM) permissions are required.
Training Categories enable organisations to associate training courses on a thematic or other procedural basis. Training Courses must be associated with Training Categories for organisation and analysis within the module.
1. Accessing Training Categories
To access Categories:
- Navigate to Training Manager.
- Select System Admin.
- Switch to the "Training Categories" tab.
You will be presented with the Training Categories list.
The screen is paginated and records are viewed by selecting the page numbers to the bottom left of the list screen
The list can be filtered by Training Category, based on a string of characters contained within the training category description and a checkbox for inclusion of inactive records.
Select the Search icon to display your filtered list. The list can be sorted by column.
2. Creating Training Categories
To create a Category:
- Click the New Training Category icon located to the right in the header bar.
- Enter a mandatory name for the Training Category.
- Tick Active to make the Category selectable when creating a new Course.
- Click Save.
The updated Training Categories List screen will be displayed.
3. Amending Training Categories
To edit a Category:
- Open the Training Category by selecting anywhere within the record row.
- Make the required alterations.
- Click Save.
