Who is this article for?

Users who are responsible for Inspector Type management.

Equipment Administrator(EQADM) permissions are required.

To help maintain your list of Inspectors and organise which types of inspections, checks and calibration they can perform, Inspectors are organised into Inspector Types. These may include Electrical Safety, Measuring Tools Calibrators, Quality Inspectors. This article will show you how to administer them.

1. Accessing Inspector Types

To access Inspector Types:

1. Navigate to Equipment Manager.
2. Select Administration.
3. Switch to the "Inspector Types" tab.

If the search fields are not displayed, click the Expand icon below the header bar to expand the filters.

Inspector Types that are yet to be used within the system can be deleted using the Delete icon. To prevent an already used Inspector Type from being selected in the future, amend the details, and ensure it is set to inactive.

2. Creating Inspector Types

To create a new Inspector Type:

1. Click the Add New icon in the top right of the header bar.
   This will reveal a blank Inspector Type details screen.

2. Give the Inspector Type a Title.
3. Provide an optional Description for the Type.
4. Tick the Active checkbox.
   This decides whether the Inspector Type will be available for selection in the rest of the module.
5. Select the owner or owner group (if different from yourself).
6. Click Save to confirm.

 You can return to the Inspector Types list by selecting the Return icon. You will lose any unsaved actions.

3. Amending Inspector Types

To amend an existing Inspector Type:

1. Select the required Inspector Type from the list.
   This will reveal the Inspector Type details.

2. Amend details as required.
3. Click Save to confirm your changes
